Ethical Implications of Contemporary Robotics

23rd and 24th February 2017 at ETH Zürich

by Victoria Laszlo

Content:
Artificial Intelligence and Robotics promise unprecedented solutions to a broad range of society’s problems. These novel and omnipresent technologies seem to have penetrated our lives at multiple depths of interaction. It is now crucial to examine their design, deployment and usage. In this workshop we aim to conduct such a discussion, exploring technological case studies, giving engineers and philosophers the conceptual tools and space to reflect upon the ethical dimension of their work.

Dr. Peter Asaro (The New School, New York)
Dr. Vanessa Rampton (ETH Zurich)
